WE ARE SEARCHING  FOR THE UK’S OLDEST FISH AND CHIP SHOP

FEEDING THE NATION FOR 160 YEARS!

This year we are searching for the oldest, continuously trading, fish and chip shop in the UK.  Lee’s and Malin’s, the first two shops, have both ceased trading now as did the imaginatively titled “The oldest Fish and Chip Shop in the World” in Yeadon near Leeds, which originally opened in 1865.

THE SHORTLIST SO FAR

Seashell - Stockport

Rock & Sole Plaice - London

The Little Chip - Redcar

Knights Fish Restaurant - Glastonbury

Village Fish Bar - Shadwell
